The Ecumenical Disability Advocates Network (EDAN) is a programme of the World Council of Churches on disability hosted by the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC) in Nairobi, Kenya. Its main purpose is to improve the well being of persons with disabilities both in the church and society and in this endeavor, it carries forward WCC vision of a just and inclusive society with a specific focus on work with persons with disabilities.
It is for this reason that EDAN in partnership with NUDOR and Churches in Rwanda are seeking to increase access for persons with disabilities on an equal basis with others, to existing development processes, environments and services through a project entitled Inclusion of persons with disabilities in Church Development Programmes in Rwanda.
They organized Three days (from 18th to 20th March) training to get common understanding and known each institution in project implementation. after the training, the project was launched. The Event held at FIVE TO FIVE HOTEL in KIGALI-Rwanda

The aim of the three year project (2019-2021) is to improve livelihoods of persons with disabilities by participating in development programmes using the human rights based approach. In Rwanda the project will work with Eglise Presbyterienne Au Rwanda – EPR, Association of Baptist Churches in Rwanda (AEBR) existing development programmes to:
- Sensitize Church development planners and implementers on how to plan, implement, monitor and report disability inclusive projects
- Sensitize community members on the need for disability inclusive community development
- Raise awareness and empower persons with disabilities through training on the need to participate in mainstream development programmes.
- Recruit persons with disabilities, assess their needs, address them and bring them on board existing mainstream development programmes as decision makers and beneficiaries
